About Us:

The Gabriel Jiménez Law Office practices Immigration and Nationality Law exclusively, with an emphasis on family-based immigration.  Our mandate is simple: keep the family together.  We do that by helping individuals obtain legal residency in this country.  We bring families together in that way.  Unfortunately, many of our clients are faced with deportation.  In these instances, our mandate remains the same: we do whatever is necessary to make sure that we keep the family together by preparing the best defense to deportation.

Whatever situation you or your family member may be in, we may be able to help you.  We have successfully handled hundreds of immigration cases including: naturalization, deportation, bonds, family petitions for legal residency, and fiance visas.  A substantial number of our cases are also cases handled at the U.S. Consulate.  However, if we cannot assist you in your case, we will tell you. We pride ourselves in being straightforward and honest with our clients regarding their cases.   Your time is valuable and your money is hard-earned.  We are not in the business of taking your time for granted or taking your money for a case that has no defense.  You deserve to hear an honest assessment of your case before you decide to hire an attorney.  We will give you that honest assessment.

We have two locations to serve you.  Our first office is located in El Paso, Texas.  Due to its proximity to various detention facilities and the U.S. Consulate in Juarez, Mexico, we are well-positioned to handle all deportation cases arising in this area and all family-based immigration from the El Paso office.  Thus, if you have a family member or friend who is detained in either the El Paso Processing Center, the Otero Processing Center in Chaparral, New Mexico,  or in Sierra Blanca, Texas, we may be able to help you.  Our initial goal is to determine whether our client is eligible to obtain a bond and have them released from custody.

Our second office location is in Los Angeles, California.  The Los Angeles location allows us to better represent our California clients.  We handle all family-based immigration matters arising in Southern California as well as all deportation and removal cases for detainees in Lancaster, California.    In addition, our Los Angeles office serves an important role in our representation of our clients in removal cases in Texas.  The reason is that in recent years, we have seen an increasing number of southern California residents being transferred out of California to the detention facilities surrounding El Paso, Texas, including the detention facilities previously mentioned: El Paso Processing Center, Otero Processing Center in Chaparral, NM, and Sierra Blanca, Texas.  Currently, a substantial number of our clients are such transferees.  In these cases, we attempt to obtain a bond for our clients and then have the case transferred to southern California (such as to the Immigration Court in Los Angeles).  Once we have a case transferred to Los Angeles, we handle the remainder of the case from our Los Angeles, California office.  We have found that our clients benefit tremendously (both in cost and in efficiency) in having us handle the entire case both in Texas and when it is transferred to California.  Since we have attorneys at both the El Paso and Los Angeles office locations, you don't pay for travel costs.  In addition, most Los Angeles-based immigration attorneys are not familliar with the Texas immigration courts and often find themselves at a disadvantage.  We have no such problem.

We are here to help you.  You can expect personalized attention and responsive service from our law firm.  If you have any questions, you can send us an email from the "Contact Us" section on this site.  We look forward to hearing from you.
